Oh Boy, Yippie, Look at me I am Three!

The tears have finally stopped falling. I just can not believe that Caleb is three already. His Birthday was Sunday June 22nd. Time is just going so quick. He is such a Joy and a Blessing!

We have been so busy the past several days. Last Thursday we got together with my friend Little Kathy and her sweet baby girl Morgan. Morgan really took a liking to LD. As you will see in the photos, she did what he did, even though he is 10 times her size. We went over and played in her pool and had a wonderful dinner!

Friday was normal... We went to OT in Annapolis, went to Bj's to buy fresh fruit and meat for the Month of July and some diapers. Both boys got haircuts and then We came home and the boys took an afternoon nap. It was very nice outside in the evening. We played with Bubbles and balls on the deck as I cooked dinner. After dinner We went for a long walk down to the water. Drake was at work until 3 am.

Saturday, Drake was off. We had a very busy day in the morning. We ran some errands, went to church for a car wash sponsored by the youth. We were invited to a birthday party of one of Drakes co-workers. He has two little girls and one of them turned 4. They had pony rides at the party. LD is a pro at horseback riding as you know. Caleb is a natural Cowboy as well. He rode a Pony for the first time at the party and did great! Caleb also showed his Rollie Pollies skills on the rings and slide. http://rolliepollies.com/

Sunday was Caleb's birthday!! We had a big breakfast, Caleb's favorite, Eggs and Toast with hash browns, and Chocolate milk. We then went to church. Caleb took a special snack to Sunday school since it was his birthday. Ld was able to join him in his classroom and have cookies to.

That evening we went to my Moms for Caleb's b-day dinner and Cake. It was a great time!!!

Monday I took LD to Johns Hopkins to an Eye appt. He is set for surgery in August. We meet the Dr who will be doing the surgery and asked questions. It will be some what scary, as is any surgery considering Drakes Neurological history. If everything goes smooth and there are no problems, it will be out- patient. He suggested that we have a follow up and get "cleared" for surgery from Neurosurgery, So... We get to see Dr. Ben Carson in August as well! It is always a blessing to be in his office.

This next weekend we will be having a small party for Mr Caleb. In the mean time enjoy the photos below of the past few events... Ferguson Style!

Hugs and Love

Flag Day, and other current events!

This past weekend was Flag Day. To be honest with you, I have never really honored the day in the correct manor... This year Drake was asked by a good Friends, sons, Boy Scout Troop to be a part of there services at the Local Elks Lodge. All and all it was beautiful. I have never seen such Honor given to our Flag. What a wonderful reminder as the what it stands for. I did not know, but on Flag Day, in the proper manor, and proper ceremony one can "retire" old worn Flags. This is done by a Ceremonial Flag Burning. The ashes are then buried with Honor.
The day was extremely hot. Close to 100 degrees. Drake forgot how hot is dress Uniform is. Needles to say, it still fits!! He will be waring it again in a Celebration at church in two weeks. Hopefully it will not be so hot that day.
We also went to a 1st Birthday party Saturday. It was for Andrew, our friends Jen and Andrew's son. It was great to see them. The party was at the community pool that I grew up going to. It was really nice to be back as an adult, and see the joy in our boys eyes at the baby pool.
Sunday we had a wonderful Fathers day. We went to church and then took the Kids to CICI's Pizza for lunch. We then came home, the boys took a nap and we got ready for a Cook out at our house. Our dads came over and we had a great meal and time together outside on the deck. The night air was perfect.
Monday was a busy day as usual. Caleb had Rollie Pollies (gymnastics) in the morning. That night we took a nice long walk around the community and down to the water.
Tuesday we got together with some friends. We went to my friend Bonny's pool. It was great to see her and her two boys Grayson and Thatcher. We had a nice time in the baby pool and having lunch with them. Our friend Tara and her son Brett were there too. We had not seen them in a really long time. I worked with both Bonny and Tara at the credit union.
Usually we would have horseback riding, but it was canceled.
Enjoy the photos...

The boy scouts salute the Flag and Drake brings it to the fire and taps is played on the french horn by Ryan.
Drake places the first flag to b burned with Honor and Pride!
Caleb gathers some sticks for the fire... (LD is asleep in the stroller in the shade)
After burning about 30 flags, the last few are folded.

The troop stops for a Photo with Drake
The last flag is placed by Drake, Michael, and the leader of the Elk's lodge.
Have wonderful day and we hope to see you all soon. We are off the PT!

Like Mommy, Like Big Brother, Like all three sets of Grandparents, like Aunt Lisa...

Caleb has his new glasses on at breakfast for the first time.

Being silly.... Welcome to the glasses Club Caleb.
I get asked all the time if the boys are twins. I find this so funny b/c they are so different in size, weight, eye color etc. I am sure I will continue to hear it with both of them in glasses!
Have a great day!

Feeling HOT, HOT, HOT!!!!

I am so thankful for a nice home and Air Conditioning. We as many of you too have been suffering from an awful heat wave. With the heat index it has been well over 110 for days now.
Needless to say we have been inside a lot. This past weekend we did venture out for a short time to Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. My good friend "Little" Kathy, you will see why I call her that from the photos, turned 30. Her husband planed a surprise party for her and rented a pavilion at the park. It was very nice, but ohh so, so hot. I am glad that the pavilion was in the shade, but with no breeze, and 110 degrees, we were melting. LD did well considering he can not take much heat, his asthma seemed to stay under control as we were at the picnic. Caleb being the boy that he his, enjoyed the sweat, bug spray and wet dirt all around. When we got home the boys went swimming in a cool bath in the tub.
We had a really bad stom that night. We lost power for about 10 hours. Drake and I played the game of Life, by candle light! We were so hot trying to sleep that night.Drake was not able to use his C-pap macheine w/o electricity, so he was not really "sleeping". With out the macheine, he feels worse when he wakes up that he did when he went to bed.
Sunday, Drake had to work 22 hours straight. Up at 6 am Sunday home after 2:30 am Monday. I really worry about him during the summer months as he works out side 95% of the time. Long, long days that that in the heat, takes it toll on him. Pray for him this summer!
I am charging my camera right now. seems that battery died, so look later tonight for the photos of this past weekend.
Have a blessed day!

School year wrap up!

Wow... what a wonderful, busy school year this has been for us. It is really hard to believe that is has come to an end. Summer school for LD will be during the month of July. Caleb will go a few weeks to Summer Camp at his school,(Our Church). Only two days a week for two hours a day, since he is only two. (Say that 10 times fast) :) He LOVES his little class... We thought it would be best for him to continue for summer session. This will give me some time two mornings a week to do PT with LD.
Last Friday I needed to be 3 places at one time. LD's school was having a field day, I was suppose to be there for the event to help him and classmates during the games. Being the VP of the schools PTO, I was in charge of the lunch for 230 students and teachers that day. ( I had a ton of help, thank you all!) Caleb at the same time field day was to start, was having his end of school program at Church. Drake was not able to attend any of the events, he had a big day as usual at work and could not be off. He was able to drop Caleb off at school on his way to work. I drove LD dropped him off, check on a few things for the teacher/student lunch, drove to Caleb's promotion, made it back to LD school in time to set up the lunch, ate, cleaned up with lots of help and then... we came home and took a long nap.
It all worked out very well in the end... I am still not sure how it all worked out with the timing.

The first set of photos are from LD's school. We had field day on Friday. It was so much fun.

This second set is from Caleb's school program
