One of our little friends who is just 2 years old is very sick tonight. Little Cooper is in the Hospital and has lung infection. Please pray for him tonight, that his body will begin to heal and that he will be able to eat, drink and go home soon.
Once I get my camera part, you will see a photo of him, his is just darling!
Thanks!

Transplant and Photo Update

My Moms Cousin Hal is healing well. Thank you all for your continued prayers. He will be in the Host. for at least three more weeks, if not longer. So far his body has not rejected his new organs and he is free from infection.
On another note...
Photos, I think We may have a fix... If it is the right fix, you should "see" us tomorrow.
Have a great night :)

Photos?

Thank you to those of you who have emailed me about the photos I was going to send out a few days ago...
My girl friends from work (Bonny and Maryte) make fun of me and say that I am so bad about posting photos, or at least I say I will and then never do)It is sometimes true.
I need to send photos of the Zoo, Williamsburg and Our trip to the Farm with friends. My card reader is not reading... I am going to Ritz tomorrow to get a new one or get it fixed. Hopefully tomorrow the problem will be resolved.
Have a great night!
Hugs, Heather

Update

My Mom talked to her other cousin, Hal's sister. The surgery went well. They actually did the transplants a few hours apart... The hard part is yet to come, Pray for his body to heal, not become infected and not to reject the new organs. I will let you know more as I do.
Hugs!

Pagers, remember those things?

My Mom just called. Her Cousin Hal Smith's pager just went off...
Hal has been on the top of the waiting list for a while waiting for a new liver and kidney. This will actually be his second liver transplant. He had one about 14 years ago.
Hal never drank, smoked or really did anything to damage his body. He has had liver problems and now kidney problems. He also suffers from diabetes and has had it for years as well.
Please pray for him as he is on his way in the car right now going to Cleavland for the transplants tonight. The most important part of the process will be after the surgery, that he will not suffer from infection and his body will not reject the new organs. He is in good spirts, Loves the Lord and is a total peace, with what ever the out come may be.
I have learned over this past year the importance of being an organ donor. Giving someone else the chance of a longer life on earth. In that same lesion I have learned how important it is to pray for the organ donors family.
As the Smith-Ferguson family prays tonight for Hal and thanks God for the new organs he will receive, there is a family who is suffering the loss of a loved one and planning a funeral.
Someone had to die, so that Hal may live... Sound farmilar?
I will keep you posted as I know, the surgery will be hours.

Blast from the Past!

This past weekend we met up with some friends from our old church. They moved a while ago to the Williamsburg Va area. They are a wonderful young couple, have four beautiful kids, and they are all Homeschooled. There Mom is very talanted and has a wonderful ability for doing very creative art projects with the kids. I love seeing what they have done from week to week in there blog.
It was great to spend the day with them, we miss them. When we were first married, we were in a SS class together at our old church. They had a surprise shower for me when I had Little Drake. Problem was I missed the shower b/c he was born so early. They had a get together of friends in the class anyway, during the scheduled time that was going to be the shower. They lived alomost across the street from Holy Cross, so after I got discharged we drove one block to there house for a wonderful dinner and into a room filled with gifts to take home.
Again it was great to see them and reconnect with them this past weekend. I will post photos tomorrow I promise.
We also got to see my cousins and there awesome daughter. Caleb and Annalysse rally took a liking to eachother this time. They often times were dancing together, one of Caleb's favorite things to do!
My Mom and Dad took us to the zoo a week or so ago. What a wonderful, wonderful day. We were all so tired, but Caleb had a blast. He was so excited and so happy to be at the zoo, He knows all his animals and loves making sounds. LD was enjoying the day too, I am not sure how he really took it all in, but he is always happy and has a great time just being with us.
Have a great day, I am off to bed it is way to late for a Momma to be up...
Photos tomorrow.

Fireproof...

We went to the movies for the first time together in over a year. It was quite weird actually, but very nice.
We saw the new movie Fireproof. If you have not seen it...go! It was absolutely wonderful. To have a move on the 'big Screen" that speaks to married couples and offers hope, speaks about Love and Salvation through Jesus Christ, talks about Gods healing power and uses scripture to back it up is amazing. Please take the time to see it. You will be glad that you did. So many couples and there relationship can relate to the actor Kirk Cameron and his wife in some way. It will change your life, go and see it!
Check out the preview at the link below and let me know what you think.
