Take me out to the ball game!

Last week was very long. Drake worked over 90 hours, and we did not see much of him. Just to give you an idea, one ship was over 32 hours long! For some crazy reason he was off Friday night... and had won tickets to a company suite at the O's game! We were in a press box along with some of his co-workers! The boys had such a good time. Until the rain came and never stop ed, until Sunday eve. Drake returned to work Sat at 7 am, and did not return until Sunday at 3:00 am. Somehow he managed to make it up for church a few hours later and then we all took a nice nap. He returned to work Sunday night at 7 got home at midnight, and then returned to work today at 7:00 am and he is still gone...
Single parenting at a glance, I get the idea!
God continues to bless us and I am thankful for what we do have. It would be nice however to see my Hubby for a change!
Hugs to all!

Yuck...

I have not written for a few days... We have had an unwanted visitor in the house for a week. We are calling him Mr. Yuck, he makes our stomach upset...
It all started last Thursday night when Caleb got sick. My Mom and Dad were with they boys during back to school night. After 6-7 times of getting sick, there wonderful Grandparent skills were ready for help.(Thanks Mom and Dad for being such good sports) Drake is so much better with that kind of sickness. He came home from back to school night, and helped with the continued sickness and clean up.
It has not stopped since. We have all had it now. After tons of cleaning, baths at all hours of the night, laundry non stop, crackers and Gatorade, etc, I think Mr Yuck is getting the hint, we do not want him around and he is on his way out of the Ferguson house.
I hope to have some photos to share soon.
Hugs!

9-11

I was very emotional today. Well do I remember sitting in my office at Tower Federal, and receiving an email from SR staff telling us to stay put and tune into a radio. Everyone in my department ran to a radio and we began to listen to the reports of an "accident" that had taken place in NY. A plane " accidentally" crashed into the world trade center. With in moments we received another email stating that all base branches were closing, and not to leave our building. With in 10 minutes the news came across the air as to what was really going on in NY. We all just sat there in silence, still very confused. We closed early, and I went to lunch with a few co-workers. We just sat and ate in silence as we watched the TV in the restaurant.
Drake was on the beltway for Hours not moving at all. He was on his way to Bethesda Navel Host with my Mom for therapy on his knee. He kept calling me saying that no one was moving at all, they were sitting for hours and the National Guard were along all sides of the road as far up and down as he was able to see.
I am conviced that the whole attack was planned and our government knew about it and there was some really shady details. If you inspect the 911 report, you would be amazed. I have several links to intersting facts if you are intrested. Just to give one example there was a news report that was talking about Tower 7 had fallen and was destroyed , but it actually fell 23 minutes after it was announced on Television...

For days, we sat watching news reports wondering what was going to happen next.
It was a day that I never want to repeat. I thank God for our great country and for the men and women who stand in harms way to protect us .

Hannah Rebecca Ferguson (HRF).

ok, not really the Hannah I wanted to welcome to our Home and give the name above... I am really talking about the storm we are having named Hannah. If we are ever blessed with a girl, the above would be her name and then she and I would have the same initials, Middle and last name that I do. Not to mention the important Biblical application of the names!!(If Drake wins our girl would have the scotch- Irish name Kathleen Meghan) We are feeling the effects of storm Hannah today inside and out of our home. Caleb and I headed out for some fun between rain drops. He had to much energy to sleep and needed out of the house by 5:30, for a bit of fun.
Hope you are staying dry! Hugs, Ferguson Clan!

God can "speak" to me, even through my three year old...

I have had a very busy week. Getting ready for school, having the boys in two different schools two days a week, the same school three days this week, hosting two breakfasts very early in the morning ministering to new Moms dropping of kids to preschool for the first time, all while getting my self and two kids out of the house an hour earlier then normal to set up, keeping our "normal" daily appts for Ld, taking care of the house, staying up late till 1-2 am in the mornings just to see my Hubby and talk face to face with his as he comes home from hours and hours of work, ordering medications, forgetting to stop at the pharmacy to pick them up, having a dear friend (thanks Kelly) offer to pick up Calebs school supplies at she store and take them to school for me so I do not have to worry about going to the store this week. Having my dear friend Babet call to see if we just want to stop by and have a quick dinner,so I do not have to cook and worry about what to feed the family, My Mom and Dad having us over and watching to boys so that I can run to an appt.
I am not complaining at all. I love my job as Mommy and Wife and I would not change anything about it.

This morning, I opened Calebs door. I was sure that he was still asleep. Instead I found him sitting on his Bed quietly "reading" his Kids Bible. He was looking at the pages with the story of Daniel and the Lions Den. I was reminded how when I am not rushing I start my day and more frequently end my day when I am most tired. I was able to let LD sleep for an extra few minutes and Caleb stayed in his room while I went back to my room and did what my three year old was doing. What a wonderful way to start our busy day.
Often times I find my self going over my prayer list and reading when I am almost asleep. Drake and I often times will fall asleep talking or praying.
Caleb reminded me how to start the day on the right track. I am so thankful the God used Caleb to teach me something for a change.
